BMS Engineer

BladeRoom Data Centres is seeking a BMS Engineer to provide planned preventative maintenance, call out, and exceptional customer service for our clients based in west London and M4 corridor region.

This role requires qualifications in a relevant field, such as electrical Installation or controls software engineering. Advanced tridium experience is essential. The role will form part of a rota, whereby you will either be stationed at the client’s site for standard working ours, or on a on call period.

If you are naturally helpful, tenacious, enjoy assisting people with technical issues, and have the skills and experience we are looking for, we would love to hear from you. Triduim experince is essential as is a valid driving license, please do not apply if you dont have those.


Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Carry out BMS PPM tasks on site.
  • Manage subcontractor resource.
  • Research and identify solutions to any software and hardware issues.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including controls setup and network configuration.
  • Track control system issues through to resolution within agreed time limits.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g., software engineers).
  • Provide prompt and accurate feedback and reporting to clients.
  • Refer to internal databases or external resources to provide accurate technical solutions.
  • Ensure all issues are properly logged.
  • Prioritise and manage several open issues simultaneously.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting.
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports.
  • Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals.

Person Specification:

Knowledge and Exeperience:

  • Proven work experience as a Service Engineer, Technician, or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience.
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues.
  • Familiarity with remote desktop applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with Tridium AX & N4 (essential).
  • Experience with BMS facility management software (advantage).
  • System commissioning experience (optional).
