A well-known civils contractor with a strong track record of delivery in their market is looking to add a Senior Quantity Surveyor to their project team in London.

They offer a competitive salary with a generous accompanying package as well as flexible hybrid working. The works are due to continue for at least the next three years in the location and they have further works and frameworks they are involved in afterwards also local to the London area.


They are looking for a candidate with NEC form of contract knowledge, with a civil engineering background, ideally living a commutable distance away from central London.


Roles and responsibilities:


  • Procurement of materials
  • Managing and pricing change
  • Managing subcontractors / labour
  • Raising early warnings and managing change events
  • Completing cost variation reports
  • Getting involved with client and stakeholder liaison


The ideal candidate will have:


  • Background working for a civil engineering contractor.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead in a high pressure environment.
  • Proven experience within the utilities/civils sector.
  • Understanding of NEC forms of contract.
  • Degree qualified.
  • Professionally qualified – ideal.
