We are currently recruiting for a Planning & Economics Advisor to be placed in Aberdeen and would be on a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. The main function is to participate in the definition and monitoring strategic directives and guidelines, supervises and coordinates the studies and analyses necessary to define medium and long-term strategic plans for the business, as well as monitoring them and providing others with information from the environment and competition analysis. The individual develops and supports the Global Planning Processes with the Regional Unit and Headquarters regarding Long Range Plans, Closing Reserves, and Impairment Test Exercises. Support the Investment Approval process to ensure it follows Corporate Guidelines.




Responsibilities

  • Support the manager in the process of defining the strategic vision and main lines of action and in strategic reflection and analysis of businesses, verifying alignment with strategic guidelines.
  • Consolidate and analyse strategic plans and prepare the information necessary for their submission and approval.
  • Support the manager in the process of monitoring fulfilment of the Strategic Plan, Closing Reserves, and Impairment Test exercises.
  • Support the definition of unit objectives, verifying their consistency with the strategy and with other units.
  • Support the manager in analysing the business portfolio, growth opportunities, and restructuring.
  • Maintain portfolio tools and the description of the portfolio, ensuring that the data is updated and corrected.
  • Analyse economically and evaluate the investment and business development proposals, verifying their alignment with Group and carrying out subsequent follow up.
  • Support the Investment approval process and tool (ATT) with the EMT areas and with the Regional Unit and Headquarters
  • Create and prepare information periodically (annual report, 20-F, Fact Book, Q&A, etc.) in coordination with all other departments involved and carry out any necessary studies
  • Prepare reports on environment monitoring, competition, and the market, and analyze their implications for the competitive position of the businesses, the Group, and corporate development activity
  • Prepare and maintain databases and reports for management




Skills / Qualifications

  • Planning, Performance and/or technical experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and self-motivated with the ability to complete tasks efficiently and timely.
  • Strong competency in Microsoft Excel, PBI and PowerPoint and ability to learn new systems (Anaplan)
  • Availability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage effectively in a client-oriented environment.
