The Nest, our alternative learning provision, offers a trauma-informed, supportive environment for children facing challenges in mainstream education, with a focus on personal development and experiential learning.

Role Description
This is a term-time Education Leader role at The Nest in Ufton Court. The Education Leader will be responsible for leading the day-to-day activities of The Nest programme. This role involves creating and implementing educational strategies, coordinating outdoor learning sessions and ensuring a positive and nurturing learning environment for the children.

Qualifications
  • Relevant degree
  • Education and Teaching skills
  • Experience in implementing educational programmes
  • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills
  • Ability to work with children who have experienced trauma in an empathetic and nurturing way
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches
  • Previous experience in alternative learning settings is a plus
  • Energy, good humour and not afraid to be outdoors in all weather.
