A large, well-known private sector business based in Central Bristol is looking for a Financial Modeller to join the team in a newly created opportunity to help support their growing business unit.

Your new role
Based here in Central Bristol, this newly created role has come about due to growth of the division which is added increased levels of complexity to their accounting team. This has meant that they need someone who can review existing models, determine the right model and rebuild where required. There is also the need to ensure anything built is robust and is used for years to come. You will be a business partner with both finance and change teams. The role will include:

  • Transition existing models into Anaplan and ensure their robust enough for future use.
  • Work with various stakeholders across the finance team but also work with project and change teams.
  • Perform actual model build work and support work performed by others.
  • Train and coach accounting colleagues on the use of models as they are passed over to the BAU team.

What you'll need to succeed
You could be either a qualified accountant with significant, complex model building experience, or you may have come from an IT / Projects change background with an understanding of accounting policies and procedures. Key to this role is experience with modelling and the client can be flexible in the background of the person and where they are currently working. In addition, you should have good organisational skills, good stakeholder management and experience of using Anaplan would be advantageous, although not essential.

This role is being offered as a permanent contract, with hybrid working here in Central Bristol, close to local transport links. Along with salary, the role is offering a 10% bonus along with good benefits and bonuses.
