Finance Director

Our Finance Director will join our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) under the supervision of our Managing Director.

You will have strong experience in leading an internal finance function, capable of working at both strategic and operational levels. Responsibilities include overseeing all operational finance functions, delivering accurate and timely financial information, and supporting strategic decision-making. You will identify and mitigate risks, inspire leadership, and foster a collaborative working environment.

Your role involves providing financial insights to the SLT, collaborating across departments, leading the finance team, and making judgments in complex situations. With a strategic focus on long-term projects, you will impact organizational outcomes and facilitate financial collaboration within the company.

You will ensure timely payment of statutory taxes, monthly bank reconciliations, and management of multiple customer ledgers. Additional duties include reviewing customers' credit ratings, managing invoices and payment dates, and preparing weekly cash flow forecasts. You must have experience preparing statutory and management accounts and developing financial models to execute sales strategies.

You will supervise payroll operations, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement across operations. Commercially, you will optimize contract profitability and enhance cash efficiency, demonstrating leadership in creating impactful client solutions.


This is a part time job, 4 days based in our office in Victoria (London).



To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Fully-qualified as a Financial Accountant – ACA, FCA, ACCA, FCCA, ACMA, FCMA.
  • Manage the relationship with Shaw Wallace to ensure statutory and tax compliance.
  • Convey financial performance updates, manage working capital, and address risks to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) through monthly reports.
  • Ensure financial stability by overseeing working capital forecasts and optimising cash flow.
  • Provide financial insights and strategic guidance through analysis, forecasting, and scenario planning.
  • Lead Risk Management efforts, including identifying, assessing, and documenting risks in a Risk Register.
  • Ensure adequate insurance coverage to meet legal requirements and protect against risks.
  • Execute accounting and tax compliance tasks in alignment with statutory regulations.
  • Drive the corporate strategic plan, budget, and projects to meet growth and profitability objectives, and collaborate with the Leadership team to implement company policies.
  • Manage profit and loss (P&L) and oversee financial and operational activities.
  • Submit all audited (if required) accounts for each Corinthian incorporated entity on time.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of all statutory reports/returns and VAT returns worldwide by deadlines.
  • Maintain the integrity of the Financial Accounting system, focusing on the Balance Sheet.
  • Manage Fixed Asset and Capital Accounting, including maintaining the Asset Register.
  • Match customer payments against open invoices in the Company’s accounting software.
  • Reconcile creditors report to ensure all open invoices are submitted to the customer.
  • Liaise with Company Account Managers and Directors regarding persistent customer late payments.
  • Advise Management when a customer’s debt position necessitates withholding the Company’s services.
  • Manage the legal process to recover debts with support from Company Directors.


Desirable experience includes:

  • Previous experience working within an accounting & auditing team with exposure to high volume bank reconciliations is preferred.
  • Experience in using either Salesforce or hubspot
  • Experience in the events industry.
  • Knowledge of sports.
