About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for a Demi Chef de Partie to join our Pastry team at Jumeirah Carlton Tower. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

  • Ensure all pastries meet luxury standards for taste and presentation.
  • Follow recipes precisely to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Monitor ingredient freshness and ensure proper storage.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the pastry kitchen.
  • Track and manage pastry inventory, reporting shortages.
  • Support menu development with creative input for new items.
  • Train and mentor junior staff in pastry techniques.
  • Ensure timely production of pastries for service.
  • Conduct quality checks on all finished products.
  • Assist in pastry preparation under the guidance of senior chefs.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • A genuine passion for pastry creation and a commitment to maintaining high luxury standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet production deadlines during busy service periods.
  • Ability to contribute to the development of new and innovative pastry items.
  • Strong focus on quality, presentation, and consistency.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent ability to manage time and multitask under pressure.
