My client are a Global Consultancy who are looking for a Snowflake Engineer to implement cloud solutions, focusing on data migration, modelling, and data product implementation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build data hydration processes for Teradata to Data Lake (S3) and from Data Lake to Snowflake migration using AWS Services, Glue, DBT, and Snowflake.
  • Develop data models in Snowflake.
  • Convert Abinitio/BTEQ scripts to DBT or SnowSQL.
  • Build an Enterprise Metadata Hub for registering metadata from Alation, Glue Catalog, DBT, and Snowflake.
  • Build data products and marts in Snowflake.
  • Manage source code and version control using Git, Jenkins, and cloud services.
  • Build semantic layers for analytics on Starburst and Snowflake.
  • Orchestrate workflows using Step Function and Airflow.
  • Fix defects, optimize performance, and document processes.


Qualifications:

  • Experience in cloud engineering and data migration.
  • Knowledge of AWS, Snowflake, and DBT.
  • Strong Teradata and SQL skills.
  • Familiarity with version control (Git, Jenkins), Alation, Abinitio, Airflow, and Tableau.


Snowflake Engineer - Permanent £45-50k base salary plus 15% cash flex (guaranteed income and can be taken as cash or used to buy extra benefits) plus bonus
