The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Travel Innovation Projects: Oversee projects from conception to launch, focusing on innovative travel products and experiences
  • Champion Initiatives: Advocate for projects and secure necessary support and resources
  • Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across product, marketing, and operations to ensure project success
  • Apply Innovation Methodologies: Use methodologies like Design Thinking and Agile to guide project processes
  • Set Industry Standards: Ensure that projects meet and surpass the highest expectations in the travel and tourism sector
  • Manage Risks: Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with standards
  • Foster Innovation Culture: Promote creativity and continuous improvement within the team
  • Evaluate Success: Assess project outcomes and apply lessons learned to future projects

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Travel and Tourism Expertise: Extensive experience and knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in the industry.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex projects using Agile, Waterfall, and other methodologies.
  • Innovation & Strategic Thinking: Creative problem-solving skills with experience in innovation frameworks like Design Thinking, focusing on long-term goals.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Skilled in leading, motivating, and developing cross-functional teams, with strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
  • Risk Management & Adaptability: Expertise in managing risks and thriving in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Technical & Analytical Proficiency: Competent with digital tools, data analytics, and project tracking technologies.
  • Organisational & Communication Skills: Strong organisational, time management, and communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
