GTS are seeking an innovative and skilled Mechatronics Engineer to join our customers team.

You will take a leading role in turning cutting-edge concepts into working prototypes and final products, helping to drive the future of automation. You’ll collaborate with teams across the company, combining your knowledge of mechanical, electronic, and software systems to create robust robotic solutions.


Key Responsibilities of the Mechatronics Engineer:

  • Design & Prototyping: Work with interdisciplinary teams to create mechatronic prototypes, integrating mechanical, electrical, and software elements to build fully functional systems.
  • System Development: Lead the design and testing of embedded computing systems, with a focus on camera integration and computer vision technologies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Test and refine prototypes through real-world trials, ensuring alignment with long-term product goals and performance targets.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, or a closely related field.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience working with mechatronic systems, ideally with exposure to commercial product development and camera system integration.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in building and testing complex systems involving mechanical and electronic components. Familiarity with industrial camera protocols (e.g., GSML, GigE, FPD-link) and optics is a bonus.
  • Additional Expertise: Experience with compliance and certification processes in the UK or US is advantageous.
