Role Summary


We are seeking a part qualified accountant, with a minimum of 3 years experience in the financial services sector. This position is designed to support the Finance team with bookkeeping needs and management accounts of a number of businesses as well as being involved in the daily administrative duties involved in taking care of a portfolio of companies. The role benefits from study support as required


Key Responsibilities


• Preparing key monthly journals including accruals and prepayments

• Complete monthly reconciliation of loan book and ensuring lending and income is correctly accounted

• Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate month end reporting

.• Running end to end month end process for a number of entities including Board packs and internal reporting

• Assistance with quarterly investor reporting cycle

• Preparation of quarterly tax returns

• Liaising with internal staff and other counterparties to facilitate information needs

• Undertaking ad-hoc tasks to facilitate the production of financial information

• Carry out such administrative duties which may be assigned


Knowledge & Experience


• This position would suit a self-motivated individual with a proven background in a finance team

• Part qualified, minimum of 3 years’ experience, within financial services, ideally a lending business.

• Previous experience of working within a Finance Control function. IT Packages/Systems Used

• MS Office packages: Word and Advanced Excel analytical skills. Ability to work with large volume of data

• Good command of Microsoft Outlook.

• Netsuite accounting software experience would be advantageous
