My London based Insurance client is looking for an Operations Manager to support the COO in implementing a new operational initiative across the UK entities, the role will be working with a broad range of business units and third party providers to identify and safeguard critical business services.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the creation of regulatory compliant policies, standards and models related to Operational Resilience.
  • Complete analysis of end to end value chains, including identification of single points of failure, interdependencies and third party dependencies and determine operations tolerances
  • Plan co-ordinate and lead scenario testing for specific business services involving both Aspen functions and third parties and capture and challenge tolerance levels.
  • Work with procurement managers and BPO team to maintain oversight of material or critical arrangements delivering services to UK entities ensuring regular oversight of performance, resilience in service provision and business continuity
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and ensure best practice
  • Raise awareness of Compliance and current and new lgegislation protecting the organisations position
  • Drive continuous improvement

The Operations Manager will need to be self sufficient and able to build relationships with key stakeholders and create reports and make recommendations on risk to the organisation, reporting back to the COO with exemption, performance and risk reports.

The successful candidate will ideally come from an Insurance / reinsurance background with Lloyds market experience, you must be self-sufficient and be able to manage a prioritise conflicting team priorities to achieve deadlines.
