SmartPro have an opportunity with an large international manufacturer for an experienced Process Engineer at their site based in Baglan. You will support the Plant Manager in order to ensure the achievement of efficiency and quality aims related to industrial activities in accordance with the group’s policies.


Hours: Monday to Friday, 830am to 430pm.


Duties of Process Engineer:

  • Checking and validating production reports.
  • Collect, monitor and analyse production data to identify any trends and to ensure targets are being met through the use of root cause analysis.
  • Support the Operations Manager in the formulation of budget proposals related to production and maintenance costs.
  • Create and review documentation related to health and safety including Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work.
  • Support the Production Manager to schedule production related activities and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Create and review documentation for good practices in the plant, 5s, OPLs and the training of the relevant people.


Requirements of the Process Engineer

  • Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • A relevant degree or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills, teamwork and leadership capabilities.
  • Experience with checking and validating production reports
  • Experience in dealing with matters of safety, environment and product’s safety
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise and problem solve
