Welding Operative

UBT Recruitment are working with a family-run SME based in Brentwood to recruit a Welding Operative. You will be joining a premier provider of innovative heigh access solutions, known for their commitment to safety, quality and customer satisfaction. As a Welding Operative you will be responsible for the fabrication and welding of various components and structures, ensuring all products meet their high standards of quality and safety.

Working hours & Salary: Monday to Friday 7am-5pm (1 hour lunch). 45 hours per week. Optional overtime. £39,780 per annum (£17 per hour).

Welding Operative Duties:

  • Welding and Fabrication of Aluminium access equipment
  • Working in support of the lead welder to manufacture bespoke platforms
  • Cutting, drilling, grinding and welding
  • MIG and TIG welding (predominantly TIG welding)

Requirements

  • Experience with aluminium welding
  • Language skills in Lithuanian or Russian
  • Physically fit and healthy
  • Attention to detail and following specific processes
  • Structural knowledge to understand bracing requirements
  • Willingness to learn and adapt

If you are energetic, enjoy assembling, picking and packing in a busy yard this role will suit you.
