Role Overview:


We are seeking an Insurance Data Technician/Analyst to join our London team.


This role will support our finance manager and development team by managing bordereaux data for multiple insurance companies, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.


The successful candidate will be instrumental in data analysis, cleansing, reformatting, and uploading historical bordereaux, and will work closely with our underwriting and technical teams to streamline processes.


This is an entry-level position with the potential to advance into larger project management roles or other positions within the group, depending on skills and interests.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Bordereaux Management: Facilitate the production, cleansing, and reformatting of Written, Premium, and Claims bordereaux across multiple insurance companies, ensuring data is accurate.


  • Data Integration: Work with the development team to integrate bordereaux data into our suite of web applications, ensuring seamless functionality and user experience.


  • Historical Data Handling: Manage the uploading of historical bordereaux data, ensuring that all information is accurately captured and stored within our systems.


  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Proactively manage and resolve queries from both internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate closely with the underwriting team to rectify any data discrepancies or breaches in compliance.


  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and work with the team to implement innovative solutions that improve efficiency and accuracy.


Key Skills & Competencies:


  • Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Ability to proactively identify and resolve data-related issues, demonstrating innovative thinking and a solution-oriented mindset.


  • Time Management: Ability to prioritise tasks effectively, manage multiple workflows, and meet deadlines.


  • Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including formulas and pivot tables). Experience with web-based data management systems is a plus.


  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to data handling, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.


  • Communication: Confident in developing relationships through effective and clear communication with various stakeholders.


  • Adaptability: Resilient and adaptable to change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


Knowledge & Experience:


  • Strong Excel Skills.


  • Experienced in Data Manipulation


  • Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage projects involving multiple stakeholders.


  • Ideally some experience in data cleansing and reformatting within a multi-currency environment.


  • Preferably some experience or familiarity with managing bordereaux in the insurance industry.
