The role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Benefits to lead our wellbeing, benefits, perks and policy agenda across the UK and US. This is a critical leadership role responsible for the strategic direction and management of our global benefits programs.
As the Head of Benefits, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our benefits offering is competitive, innovative and aligned with our organisational goals, contributing significantly to the overall employee experience.
Key Responsibilities of the role include:
Strategic Leadership:
- Developing and executing a comprehensive benefits strategy for UK and US markets, aligned to our global business objectives
- Leading the design, development and management of a diverse range of benefits programs, including health, retirement and wellbeing initiatives
Employee Wellbeing:
- Driving initiatives to enhance employee wellbeing, focusing on innovative benefits and policy improvements
- Monitoring emerging trends in employee benefits to ensure our offerings are market-leading and reflect the needs of our workforce
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborating closely with senior leadership, HR teams and key stakeholders to align benefits strategies with the overall business strategy
- Acting as the primary point of contact for benefits-related issues, providing expert advice to employees and HR partners across the organisation
Compliance and Governance:
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and legal requirements in both the UK and US, keeping abreast of changes in legislation
- Managing and mitigating risks associated with benefits administration, ensuring policies are adhered to and updated as necessary
Vendor Management:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with external benefits providers, including insurers and brokers
- Leading negotiations of contracts and service agreements, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality
Communication and Education:
- Overseeing the communication of benefits programs to employees, ensuring clear and effective messaging
- Leading the annual benefits review process, working to continuously improve the benefits package based on employee feedback and industry best practices
Team Leadership:
- Managing and developing a team of benefits professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
- Providing leadership during times of change, ensuring the team remains focused and motivated
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Extensive experience in benefits management, with a deep understanding of UK benefits programs and significant exposure to US benefits
- Proven track record of leading benefits initiatives in a complex, multinational organisation
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a passion for enhancing employee experiences
- A dynamic and adaptable leader with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to continuous improvement
