What the Job Involves

  • Evaluate current practices and recommend changes concerning Pillars 1 and 2 of the children's social care reform.
  • Create a Children's Social Care Workforce Development Plan, including career pathways and learning offerings.
  • Conduct an operational structure and practice review to assess, evaluate, and recommend necessary changes for Bracknell Forest.
  • Evaluate our Family Help position and suggest steps to meet reform requirements, focusing on a joined-up approach with Early Help and Children's Social Care.
  • Review and recommend integration strategies for a multi-agency child protection system, addressing the potential cost implications.
  • Deliver a written report with recommendations and an action plan aligned with the expectations for children's social care.
  • Produce a comprehensive Workforce Development Plan to support recruitment, retention, and development within the children's social care sector.
