A Hertfordshire based client have been in touch with a long term OUTSIDE IR35 opportunity that may be of interest to you.

You will be supporting the manufacturing team working on a life saving product development (previous safety critical is not required). You will play a crucial role in troubleshooting, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions promptly. Additionally, you'll be instrumental in evaluating and approving new boards, collaborating closely with our Supply Chain Team and suppliers on an onsite flexible hours working basis at the Hertfordshire HQ.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Test Development Engineer
  • Engage with PCBA suppliers and our internal supply chain to optimize testing equipment
  • Monitor and analyze test failures, driving swift corrective actions
  • Update test specifications, limits, and software as needed
  • Facilitate the transition to new suppliers, including the evaluation and sign-off of sample boards
  • Maintain and improve testing equipment and fixtures
  • Provide clear and concise reports, and support production processes as necessary
  • Continuously improve testing and production processes
  • Assist with periodic equipment calibration and checks


What You Bring:

  • Solid experience in PCBA manufacturing
  • Strong skills in test software, particularly LabVIEW and TestStand
  • Experience with WATS or other test data analysis tools is a plus
  • Basic mechanical skills and familiarity with tools like TeamViewer, Jira, Confluence, and Teams
  • Ability to interpret and analyze data, and produce insightful reports
  • Excellent communication skills and a focus on timely delivery
  • A valid UK driving licence
