London London WU FY, North West London, United Kingdom North London Dental Centre Full time
About Us:

Established in 1973, our practice has been delivering exceptional dental care for over four decades. We pride ourselves on being the highest-rated private emergency dentist in London, with over 500 five-star Google reviews and 200,000 satisfied patients. Our clinics are conveniently located near Baker Street and Liverpool Street tube stations, offering comprehensive emergency dental services across London.

We provide 247 aftercare, ensuring that active treatment is conducted during emergency appointments, including same-day root canals and tooth extractions, even for complex cases. Our services also feature sedation options and the Wand painless injection system for anxious patients. With an in-house 3D CT scan and CEREC technology, we offer precise diagnoses and same-day crowns and veneers.

Our team consists of 20 highly experienced dentists and hygienists, including specialists in endodontics, orthodontics, prosthodontics, and periodontics. We have been honoured with the British Dental Association Good Practice award for the past four years.

Role Description:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and well-presented individual to join our team as a Trainee Dental Nurse Assistant. This role does not require prior experience, making it an excellent entry-level opportunity for those interested in pursuing a career in dental nursing. Candidates should consider enrolling in a recognised dental nursing course.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide chair-side assistance, ensuring the availability of correct equipment.
Ensure patient care and welfare.
Accurately complete patient clinical records as directed.
Assist dentists and the practice manager with clinical aspects, maintaining compliance standards.
Deliver excellent patient care throughout the cosmetic dental process.
Maintain cross-infection controls, equipment, and materials to the highest standards.
Perform duties in line with the Code of Ethics outlined by the Association of Dental Nurses and the GDC.
Develop and file radiographs, and change radiographic solutions as needed.
Complete laboratory request forms, and keep records of work sent, received, and fitted.
Ensure adequate stocks of materials and other items within the surgery.
Follow the ordering procedure for new stock supplies.
Maintain accurate computer and written records, securely stored.
Liaise with reception for smooth patient communications and record transfers.
Provide leadership and management of the dental care professional (DCP) team.
Ensure the security and maintenance of clinical equipment and instruments.
Control expenditure within budgetary constraints.
Take on additional tasks to support the dentist and practice manager.

Candidate Profile:

We seek a friendly, team-oriented individual eager to learn and develop in the dental nursing field. Familiarity with infection control procedures is preferred, though not required.

Application Details:

The salary and start date are negotiable based on national minimum wage and experience, with the position available for an immediate start. An initial telephone interview will be conducted upon receipt of your CV, followed by an in-person interview at the practice for successful candidates.
