We are seeking a highly talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team and bring our vision to life.

Position Overview: The Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, menu development, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Greek cuisine, a passion for culinary creativity, and a proven track record in a similar leadership role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Menu Development: Create and design innovative, authentic Greek menus that reflect our restaurants vision and values. Incorporate seasonal ingredients and traditional Greek cooking techniques.
  • Kitchen Management: Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a team of kitchen staff. Foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging continuous learning and professional development.
  • Quality Control: Maintain the highest standards of food quality, taste, and presentation. Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and manage procurement of ingredients and supplies. Ensure cost-effective use of resources and minimize waste.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the management team to align kitchen operations with the overall goals of the restaurant. Participate in marketing and promotional activities as needed.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Engage with guests to receive feedback and make necessary adjustments to enhance the dining experience. Address any customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage the kitchen budget, including cost control, pricing strategies, and profitability analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef, with a focus on Greek cuisine.
  • Exceptional culinary skills and creativity, with a deep understanding of traditional Greek flavours and modern culinary trends.
  • Strong leadership and management abilities, with experience in team development and training.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, management, and guests.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred, but not required.
