They are looking for a junior Associate to join their Corporate Team, working with other Associates and Partners across the team.

This role offers the opportunity for direct client contact and transaction experience early on.


About the Role

  • Responsibilities will include assisting senior associates and partners on transactions, managing elements of various deals such as investments, M&A, and JV work.
  • There will be work across the Corporate Team, covering private company M&A, investments, joint ventures, board advice, partnerships, advisory, and restructuring work.
  • A genuine interest in and willingness to engage in Business Development within our key sectors is advantageous.


The Team

  • The Corporate team holds a market-leading position in complex, high-value transactional and advisory work within the private capital sector.
  • Their clients include investors (VC and PE firms, private individuals), established entrepreneurs, global high-net-worth individuals and their businesses, international family offices, trust companies, professional partnerships, management teams, and individual executives.
  • They specialize in the private wealth and financial services sectors, as well as property, education, and media.
  • A significant portion of the corporate work involves offshore elements, regularly dealing with assets in the Middle East, the US, and major offshore jurisdictions such as the British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Jersey, and Guernsey.


Responsibilities

  • The role entails a varied and interesting mix of day-to-day advisory work and transactional projects.
  • Responsibilities include supporting senior fee earners on key transaction documents (SPA, investment agreements, JVAs) and leading on aspects such as due diligence, disclosure, research, and transaction management.
  • Coordination with the firm's high-profile employment, tax, and commercial teams on investments and acquisitions will be required.
  • The candidate will play a key support role to senior fee earners on transactional matters, operating with high autonomy, and taking responsibility for transaction elements, liaising with lead fee earners, and delegating to trainees or support staff as appropriate.


Skills and Experience

  • 0-2 years PQE.
  • High level of technical knowledge in corporate law, particularly private company M&A and investments.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong interest and enthusiasm for transactional work.
  • Strong academic background.
