Key Responsibilities:

  • Concept Development: Participate in the development of system concepts and architectures during the early phases of the project life cycle.
  • Requirements Engineering: Elicit, analyse, and validate system requirements, ensuring they align with stakeholder needs and project objectives.
  • Modelling & Simulation: Use modelling and simulation tools to support system design decisions and validate early concepts.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess risks associated with early design concepts, proposing mitigation strategies where necessary.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and suppliers, to ensure alignment and understanding of system objectives.
  • Documentation: Produce and maintain key engineering documents, including requirements specifications, concept of operations, and system architecture descriptions.
  • Design Reviews: Participate in design reviews to ensure that system concepts meet technical and operational requirements.


Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Experience in systems engineering, particularly in the early life cycle stages such as concept development and requirements engineering. Defence or Aerospace experience required.
  • Must have lived in the UK for 5 years to gain security clearance
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with systems engineering methodologies, including requirements management, systems modelling, and feasibility analysis.
  • Tools & Software: Experience with systems engineering tools (e.g., DOORS, SysML), and proficiency in modelling and simulation software.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical information clearly and concisely.
