Job Description

What will you be doing?

As a Mechanical Systems Engineer, you will join the Derby or Warrington Teamteam to support our activities within the Nuclearsector.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Design and engineer metal structures, skid frames, and heavy mechanical tooling in accordance with system requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct structural analyses and calculations to ensure the integrity and safety of designed systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate structural designs into larger project frameworks.
  • Participate in design reviews to evaluate and refine concepts, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Develop detailed fabrication and assembly drawings for construction and installation.
  • Adapt to changing project requirements and priorities, effectively managing workload and timelines.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, both internal and external, to address inquiries and resolve issues.

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • Experience in conducting structural or design calculations.
  • Exposure to project management and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
