We are now recruiting for a Hotel Sales Executive.

Based out of the Hilton Bournemouth you will drive revenue by effectively selling three South Coast Hotels owned by THAT Group (managed by M&T Hotel Management)within the local and national marketplace. Main focus will be on selling the Hampton By Hilton Torquay but will also include 2 other hotels (located in Bournemouth, Dorset).

Main responsibilities will include increasing market share and profitability of existing accounts and secure new business across all market segments, by researching and targeting business in competitor hotels and venues, both locally and nationally as well as being totally customer focused by consistently delivering excellent customer service with an informed, friendly, and effective approach.

You will also be working with the Director of Sales & Reactive Sales teams to develop and represent the hotels brand positioning and profile both locally and nationally.

The Hampton by Hilton - Torquay was developed by THAT Group on the regenerated area of Torwood Street, just a stone's throw from Torquay harbour. The hotel sits alongside new upmarket office space and leisure/food and drink units, acting as a hub for tourists and also attracting people visiting for business. The hotel boasts 130+ bedrooms, event space, fitness centre and all-day food offer.

Applicants must have:

  • Experience and a successful track record of sales experience (within hotels preferred)with a stable work history.
  • Excellent sales, customer care, account management and negotiation skills.
  • Strong presentation and influencing skills.
  • Motivation, enthusiasm and the ability to work as part of a high performing team.
  • Drive and determination to achieve results and openness to new ideas
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and engage effectively at all levels.
  • A willingness to travel throughout the UK (presenting to prospective partner organisations, meeting and entertaining clients, attending trade fairs/shows when required).
  • Knowledge of PMS and CRM systems preferred.
  • Report writing skills and ability to use word; excel spreadsheets and power point for presentations.
  • The ability to remain focused at all times, prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good written and verbal English.
Applicants must also be able to travel on business as required (including overnight stays if necessary) and have their own reliable transport. This role is hybrid with time spent on property, 'on the road' with some home working. Some flexibility of hours worked can be available (discussed at interview) but core hours will be expected plus the ability to vary hours/ place of work around the requirements of the role. No two weeks will be the same.
