We're seeking an Assistant Brand Manager for our Chews & Treats category to support the profitable growth and management of this segment in the EMEA region. Collaborating with the Brand Manager and local Sales & Marketing teams, you will help develop and implement strategies and programs to expand our Chews & Treats business across international markets.


The Role


You will collaborate closely with local Marketing teams to analyse market and category trends, identifying growth opportunities and new product potentials. You'll be instrumental in assisting to develop product positioning, unique selling propositions, and packaging strategies to ensure product differentiation and brand alignment.


Additionally, you'll play a key role in supporting New Product Development (NPD) and Existing Product Development (EPD) projects, working in coordination with various departments including R&D, Regulatory, Sourcing, and Project Management. You'll also work alongside the Communications & Brand Manager to develop briefs for external agencies pertaining to NPD/EPD projects.


Furthermore, you'll foster information sharing and close collaboration with local Sales & Marketing teams, ensuring a cohesive approach to brand management and strategy implementation. You will also travel to customer meetings in the UK and/or Europe as required, further strengthening relationships and driving business growth.


About you


To excel in this role, you'll need a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, along with a minimum of 2 years of marketing experience, with a focus on product and brand management.


You should possess a proficient understanding of the full marketing mix and be fluent in English; knowledge of German and/or other foreign languages is considered advantageous.


Your ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, coupled with your strong attention to detail and excellent project management skills, will be essential as will having a flexible and can do attitude. A consumer-oriented mindset with exceptional communication skills, as well as experience working with diverse cultures, will set you apart.


Previous experience in the pet industry is advantageous, as is familiarity with new product development processes and collaboration with R&D.
