The Junior / PR Manager plays a vital role within the UK Marketing team to drive awareness of PageGroup and its key brands among an external audience.

Client Details

The ideal candidate will be someone able to jump straight into ongoing activity at a FTSE 250 global company and quickly forge strong relationships with key stakeholders at a senior level. This is a fixed term contract which will report into the Head of Marketing, UK, with a dotted line into the Head of Group External Comms. There are no direct reports for this role.

Description

Stakeholder management for key contacts across the UK business including members of the UK Board and senior directors, advising on the most relevant comms approach and supporting with materials required

· Work with in house subject specialists and Operations leads to draft byline articles and spokesperson comments for key media titles - trade and national

· Oversee day-to-day press office and PR agency management, updating and reporting back to UK Head of Marketing

· Work with marketing colleagues in Content, Social, and CRM to integrate PR campaign materials into wider marketing programmes - e.g. bi-annual Page Pulse research, Group (global) External Comms campaigns

· Build strong relationships with key journalists in trade publications

· Work alongside Content team to repurpose relevant pieces to sell into media

· Work with PR agency to create briefing documents and prepare senior stakeholders for media interviews

· Drive internal knowledge of PR by working closely with the Senior Internal Communications Manager to showcase results and raise PR's profile

· Ensuring coverage tracker (which is managed by PR agency) is up to date

Profile

Agency experience preferred, though not essential

· Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills

· Attention to detail / accuracy

· Proven experience of media relations, influencing and selling of stories to gain valuable exposure for a professional services company

· Experience across all media types; mainstream, social and trade

· Experience of working with external agencies

· Experience of using data to generate PR campaigns
