London, UK, United Kingdom Emergent Risk International Part time

Job Title: Sales Associate

Location: London, United Kingdom

About ERI: Emergent Risk International (ERI) is a global risk and security intelligence advisory firm headquartered in Newport, Rhode Island, with offices in Austin, Washington DC, the United Kingdom, Ireland, India, Mexico, Portugal, and Singapore. We support global security, risk management, business continuity, and other risk-focused departments of Fortune 500 companies and multinational organizations. We help our clients assess risk to their organizations, whether it emanates from geopolitics, security threats, economic forces, or regulatory initiatives that may impact bottom-line revenue or threaten personnel and company assets.

ERI operates five lines of business:

  • Assessment and Analysis: Providing daily, subscription-based, and bespoke geopolitical and threat intelligence services.
  • Training: Training intelligence analysts for corporate environments, focusing on tradecraft and tools for efficient analysis.
  • Online Platform: Offering a subscription-based online portal with expert analysis, curated datasets, and data visualization tools.
  • Consulting: Developing and improving intelligence programs, from needs assessment to analysis and recruitment.
  • Embedded Analyst Services: Providing clients with full- and part-time embedded analysts, trained to ERI's standards and continually developed by ERI's senior leadership.

Position Overview: ERI is seeking to hire a full-time Sales Associate to be based in London. This is an excellent opportunity to be the first EMEA-based sales professional working directly with the Commercial Director. The role is ideally suited to a proactive, ambitious individual with a passion for geopolitics and security. The Sales Associate will demonstrate the personality traits essential for a sales role: tenacity, autonomy, resilience, collaboration and excellent communication skills. This position will provide crucial training and mentoring to build the requisite skills needed to become a successful sales professional in the risk intelligence space. In addition to the sales training, the sales associate will be given corporate intelligence, analysis, tradecraft and writing training to understand how our clients apply security intelligence techniques to a business environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in driving sales and business development initiatives across the EMEA region.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new clients, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Conduct research to identify new sales opportunities and target markets.
  • Conduct outreach to ensure that the sales pipeline is maintained at the required level at all times.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Director to develop and implement sales strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance and market trends.
  • Support the Commercial Director in various administrative and programmatic tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject (e.g. International Relations, Politics, Journalism, War Studies etc.).
  • Preferably one year’s experience in a junior sales/SDR role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
