Our client, a renowned and rapidly expanding design firm based in Chelmsford, is seeking a creative and driven Interior Designer to join their dynamic team. Specializing in high-profile hospitality projects, this is an exciting opportunity to work with some of the top brands in the industry, including leading restaurants, bars, and F&B establishments.


This full-time, office-based position offers a competitive salary and the chance to contribute to innovative and impactful designs that shape the hospitality experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed FF&E schedules for hospitality projects, ensuring impeccable design standards.
  • Source samples, request quotations, and manage supplier relationships to deliver top-tier materials and finishes.
  • Prepare precise technical drawings and detailed specifications for a wide range of materials, including ironmongery, sanitary ware, electrics, joinery, and more.
  • Create and present mood boards, furniture layouts, and design concepts for client approval.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project delivery from concept through to completion.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, address design challenges, and ensure projects stay on track.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure cohesive and innovative outcomes for all projects.


Role Requirements:

  • Degree in Interior Architecture or Interior Design (essential).
  • Minimum 2 years of UK-based experience in interior design, ideally within hospitality.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and SketchUp is required.
  • Strong background in FF&E design, technical drawing, and furniture layouts.
  • Proven ability to source materials, manage specifications, and develop polished client presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills with a professional and client-facing approach.
