My client is looking to scale a business that works in both B2C and B2B environments; they are looking for a full-stack engineer, but they will mainly focus on backend systems in Java.




Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain robust and scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring, AWS, and React.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to architectural decisions.
  • Work in an Agile environment, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Identify and implement best practices for code development and deployment.
  • Monitor and optimize application performance, ensuring high availability and scalability.


Key Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in full-stack Java development, with a strong command of Spring framework.
  • Proficiency in front-end development using React, with a solid understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services, including deployment and management of cloud-based applications.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
  • Proven experience with version control systems, such as Git.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling challenges.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Previous experience mentoring and guiding junior developers is a plus.
