As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll work closely with the Directors to secure, manage, and deliver projects, ensuring high standards and profitability across the board. You’ll play a key role in managing project finances, from formulating detailed costings and valuations to maintaining overall financial control on each project.

Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Overview

  • Prepare, negotiate, and analyze budget costs.
  • Offer advice on legal and contractual matters while identifying and managing commercial risks.
  • Produce and present monthly Cost Value Reconciliations for ongoing projects.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships within the project team.
  • Prepare detailed costing, bills of quantities (BOQs), valuations, and quotations.
  • Maintain financial control over projects to secure profitability within the contracting division.
  • Undertake some estimating responsibilities as needed.


Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Requirements

  • HNC or Degree in Quantity Surveying.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a Civil Engineering Contractor.
  • Knowledge of JCT & NEC forms of contract.
  • Strong estimating skills and financial acumen.
  • Ambition to progress within a growing company.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK as required.
