Group Property Director

At Morrisons, we're on an exciting journey of growth and transformation, and we're looking for a dynamic Group Property Director to join us. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact in a senior leadership role.
As the Group Property Director, you'll be at the heart of our strategy, working with the Executive team to shape and deliver a property plan that drives our business forward. You'll lead and grow a talented team, manage our estate, and unlock value from our property portfolio across our supermarkets and convenience stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Leadership - Craft and implement property strategies that align with our business goals. Lead and inspire the Property team
- Financial Management - Oversee significant budgets, including Capex, Maintenance spend, and Rent
- Estate Management - Drive the management of our estate, ensuring we open new convenience stores and refresh a substantial number of existing stores each year
- Team Development - Lead, motivate, and develop a team of 110 colleagues, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
- Stakeholder Engagement - Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the Executive Committee, to ensure alignment and support for property initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- Extensive experience in a senior property role, ideally within a retail environment
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a large team
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing large budgets
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on delivering results
