JMC are working with a MRO company based in Birmingham, looking to recruit a new Avionic Technician to join their team.
This client is a leading MRO dealing with line and base maintenance as well as interior modifications and fuel systems repair and maintenance for both commercial and military aircraft.
The company has been operating for close to 30 years, providing outstanding customer service and encouraging a warm, positive environment to aid employee progression.
This is a Permanent Position based in Birmingham, working a 5/5/4 shift pattern.

The Role:
The primary purpose of this role is to carry out maintenance tasks to correct standard, ensure accurate completion of company & Third-Party paperwork and report directly to the Hangar Manager.
Other duties involve:
- Full removal and strip of equipment.
- Installation of complex wiring harnesses and modifications to existing wiring, within Avionic shelves and panels.
- All aspects of electrical and avionics work including:
- Wiring terminations and testing.
- Removal and installation of various shelves, panels and equipment.
- Loom Manufacture and testing.
- Systems testing
In order to be successful in this role the Avionic Technician will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
Skills and experience required:
- Completed an engineering apprenticeship- ideally in Aeronautical engineering or military equivalent
- Minimum of 8 years aircraft experience desired
- Previous aircraft production experience
- Previous modification experience
- Military aircraft experience essential
- Excellent hand skills
- Reliability
- Adaptability
- Good interpersonal skills
- Organisational skills
- Communication skills
- Knowledge of MS Office applications
- Eligible to work and live in the UK
- Subject to UK security Vetting
