Catastrophic Injury Solicitor (Associate or Senior Associate) - National Firm

This role offers the opportunity to work directly with a Partner, advising key clients of the firm on high-value injury cases predominantly arising from Employers' Liability (EL) and Public Liability (PL), with some Road Traffic Accident (RTA) matters.

Overview

  • Job Title: Associate or Senior Associate
  • Location: Nationwide
  • Salary: to £66,000
  • Work pattern: hybrid working
  • Reports to: Partner
  • Expertise: Candidates should experience though claimant or defendant of dealing with high value personal injury claims.


Snapshot of role and responsibilities

  • Interview witnesses, draft statements, and prepare court documents including pleadings and applications.
  • Instruct counsel and attend conferences, Joint Settlement Meetings (JSMs), and mediations.
  • Manage a varied caseload of complex injury cases, including brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, and fatal claims.
  • Assist in drafting technical advice covering analysis on reserves, indemnity, liability, quantum, and causation issues.
  • Attend court proceedings in person or via telephone as required.
  • Delegate tasks to Paralegals and assist in their technical development.
