Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head of DevOps to lead our DevOps team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of our DevOps processes and infrastructure. This is a key leadership role that involves oversight of large development teams and DevOps operations, ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of our trading platforms.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee and manage large development teams, ensuring seamless integration of DevOps practices across all projects.
  • Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and high-performance infrastructure using AWS, Kubernetes, and other modern technologies.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software deployment.
  • Collaborate with development, trading, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment of DevOps practices with business objectives.
  • Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of our trading platforms.
  • Ensure security best practices are implemented and maintained across all systems and processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, continuously evaluating and integrating new tools and practices to enhance our DevOps capabilities.
  • Provide strategic direction for the DevOps function, aligning it with the firm’s goals and objectives.
  • Report on DevOps metrics and performance to senior management, making recommendations for improvements and optimizations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in a senior DevOps role, with a strong focus on Python, AWS, and Kubernetes.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and grow a high-performing team.
  • Extensive experience overseeing large development teams and managing complex DevOps operations.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and configuration management tools.
  • Expertise in cloud computing, specifically AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
  • Proficient in containerization and orchestration technologies, particularly Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of network protocols, security best practices, and system architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
