Senior Geophysicist

A UK based independent geophysical specialist focusing on near surface high resolution geophysical surveys are looking for a Senior Geophysicist to join the team in Oxford.

They are looking for candidates who can demonstrate experience in collecting, processing, interpreting and reporting geophysical investigations for environmental or engineering applications with good exposure to some of the following techniques:

Ground penetrating radar (GPR)

Electromagnetics (EM)

Magnetometry

Microgravity

Electrical methods

Seismic methods

The role will involve 20-30% field work and the rest of the time would be spend onsite at their Oxford office focusing on Data Processing (Oasis Montaj, GeoGiga, SurfSeis, Res2Dinv, Zonde, Aarhus Workbench or similar) and mapping or GIS packages.

The base salary on offer is around the £40,000 mark, but they also have a projects incentive scheme which is a percentage of company sales shared across the team, which usually adds between £3-5K a year, plus a bonus scheme for being in the field which is around an extra £2K a year.
