Job Description:


We are seeking an experienced Remote Drylining Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating drylining packages for high-rise residential projects and extensive experience working with leading house builder companies. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with proven expertise in the construction industry to work remotely, contributing to key projects across the UK.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for drylining works, including materials, labour, and equipment.
  • Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to produce high-quality tenders.
  • Collaborate with project managers, quantity surveyors, and procurement teams to ensure the correct pricing and tendering of drylining packages.
  • Manage multiple tenders simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met and submissions are accurate.

Evaluate subcontractor quotes and liaise with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring clear communication throughout the tendering process.

Conduct site visits when necessary to assess project requirements and confirm specifications (occasional travel may be required).

  • Assist in post-tender reviews and provide value engineering options where necessary.
  • Regularly review and update cost databases, market prices, and industry trends to ensure accurate pricing.
  • Work closely with the commercial and operations teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure profitability on projects.
  • Produce final cost plans, tender documents, and budget estimates with a high degree of accuracy.


Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Drylining Estimator, preferably with a focus on high-rise residential projects.
  • Proven track record of working with leading house builders and delivering successful tenders in the residential construction sector.
  • Strong knowledge of drylining systems, materials, and installation processes.
  • Excellent understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Proficiency in estimation software (such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a remote working environment.
  • A relevant degree in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
