An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Highways Paralegal to join a vibrant, large legal services team in the North on a locum basis. This will be a full-time, ongoing assignment.

This role will provide you with the opporuntity to work alongside highly experienced lawyers in the Planning and Highways team, and it offers the flexibility to work remotely.

The duties of the successful Highways Paralegal will include;

• Providing support to the lawyers in the team
• Dealing with Rights of Way matters
• Assisting with S38/S278 highways agreements
• Undertaking research

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience working within a busy public sector organisation. Full-time hours would be preferred although a flexible working pattern may be considered.

An understanding of highways is essential. While previous experience working within local government is desirable, private practice background should also apply. This role is suitable for non qualified candidates working at Paralegal/ Legal Officer level.
