Job Summary:

This role is to support a Senior Group Risk Consultant in all aspects of Group Risk administration and provide support where needed for New Business. The post holder will be part of a wider administration team.


Experience:


  • 3+ years experience within an Employee Benefit Consultancy.
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of Group Risk.
  • Outstanding telephone manner with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks, work to tight deadlines and stay focused under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow through.
  • Team player but must be able to work independently and use own initiative.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook with an emphasis on Excel data manipulation.
  • Commitment to pass basic (internal) financial industry exams within 3 months of employment.


Desirable:


  • Achieved or working towards CII IF7 and GR1 qualifications.


Main Responsibilities:


Assist with the general administration of benefits, which will include:


  • Ensure the smooth running of assigned portfolio on a day to day basis
  • Develop, maintain and cultivate a constructive and professional relationship with clients and insurers at all levels.
  • Co-ordinate administration of schemes including renewal accounts, membership data, market reviews, claims and medical underwriting processing.
  • Maintain client records and data in line with Secondsight systems and protocols.
  • Independently respond to queries from both clients and insurers in a pro-active manner, whilst keeping the Consultant informed as appropriate.
  • Support the Consultant with the re-broking and reviewing of schemes.
  • Collate market review information, where appropriate negotiate with insurers and draft renewal reports/ emails.
  • Contribute positively as required to broader group risk & healthcare team and the businesses initiatives.
  • To participate in appropriate company and departmental training, competence and development initiatives.
  • To continuously meet, the regulator’s Fit & Proper requirements.
  • Assist with developing junior members of the team
