Aftersales Support Engineer / Technical Service Engineer


Job Purpose

Working in a 6 people team, you will be responsible for the Technical Support for our worldwide customers, both for immediate troubleshooting and for leading complex projects in retrofit, managing different internal departments.


Main Duties


  • To provide electrical and/or mechanical assistance and expertise to our industrial customers as the first point of contact, for the full range of Baker Perkins equipment (bakery, biscuit, confectionery, snack, and breakfast cereal sectors)
  • To ensure customer satisfaction by being resourceful: self-diagnose, or organize the visit of our team to repair the technical problem on site
  • To act as the project manager for Aftermarket projects to deliver in a timely and technically competent way, to meet or exceed our customers’ expectations
  • To promote new/repeat Aftermarket business for Baker Perkins through customer visits, relationship building and providing detailed quotations in support of customer requirements
  • To be the Aftermarket ambassador for key customer accounts, developing positive relationships and demonstrating your commitment to excellent Customer Service


Candidate Profile

  • Good mechanical and electrical skills: hands-on profile
  • Experience in customer contact, for example as a commissioning Engineer /Technician or in Service department, Aftersales department…
  • Ideally, knowledge of value-added and complex capital equipment: Food & Beverage, O&G, Pharmaceuticals…
  • Good problem-solving techniques using an analytical approach
  • Customer focus with excellent communication skills and a successful track record of developing customer relationships
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure
  • Good PC skills (Word, Excel, MS Project)
