Are you a skilled communicator with a passion for creating engaging content and ensuring online safety? Our client, a leading organisation in the communications industry, is seeking a talented Communications Manager to join their team for a 13-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the areas of content regulation, media coverage, and public engagement.


As the Communications Manager, you will play a crucial role in protecting and enhancing our client's reputation in the ever-evolving digital landscape. You will develop strategic communications plans to address content safety, disinformation, and election integrity, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation. Additionally, you will spearhead proactive campaigns focusing on the online safety of teens and kids, collaborating with global affairs and public policy departments to create engaging communication materials.

Some of your key responsibilities will include managing media coverage related to content regulation such as the EU Digital Services Act, creating transparency reports, and facilitating compliance with audit processes and enforcement procedures. You will also work closely with country teams to build robust strategic plans that enhance our client's reputation in the field of online safety. Moreover, you will have the opportunity to raise awareness of the Safety Engineering Centre based in Dublin and support regional leadership in engaging with media and public conferences.


To be successful in this role, you should have sufficient years of experience in communications roles and a relevant degree or equivalent education. Previous experience in electoral politics or government would be a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential, and proficiency in modern social media platforms such as TikTok and YouTube is highly beneficial.
