Position Overview: As a Sous Chef, you will play a critical role in supporting our kitchen team and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. You will bring your expertise in italian cuisine to assist in menu creation, oversee food preparation, and maintain the highest standards of quality and presentation. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to grow and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the kitchen team in the grill section, pizza section and pasta section
  • Ensuring a high level of cleanliness, date labeling, daily checking of temperatures etc.
  • Assisting with training of chefs in menus, COSHH, HACCAP, daily schedules etc.
  • Assisting with stock ordering and monthly stock takes
  • Assisting with creation of menus
You will be reporting to the Executive Chef within the Food and Beverage team.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-standard restaurant.
  • Extensive knowledge and passion for Italian cuisine.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure during peak service times.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
