Remote, United Kingdom Charismo Remote Full-time
I’m a software engineer building a multiplayer kingdom-conquest game inspired by Million Lords, Lords Mobile and Whiteout Survival, and I’m looking for a freelance artist to help develop its visual style. The game already has a working world map, capturable cities, troop movements, resource gathering and a capital-building system. I’d like someone who can bring these elements together into a consistent, polished medieval fantasy world. What you’d work on
- Isometric-style villages, towns, castles and fortresses, with visual upgrade stages.
- Capital buildings, including farms, barracks, an academy and a keep.
- Terrain assets such as trees, mountains, rivers, roads and resource sites.
- Flags, faction colours and simple effects that make ownership and activity easy to read.
- Potentially UI icons and small animations, depending on your experience. The style Colourful, stylised medieval fantasy with clear silhouettes and detail that holds up when zooming around a large map. The games above are references for the overall feel, but I want an original visual identity. I’m open to either hand-painted 2D assets or rendered 3D sprites, provided the result is consistent and practical to use in a browser & mobile game. Who I’m looking for Someone with a portfolio of stylised game environments or buildings who is comfortable working with an indie developer. Experience creating cohesive asset sets, sprite atlases and assets for different zoom levels would be useful. I’d like to start with a small paid milestone, for example, a village, a castle and a matching terrain sample, then expand the work if we’re a good fit. Please send your portfolio, availability and rates, along with a brief note about how you’d approach the project. Pay: £40,000.00-£60,000.00 per year Work
