Duties
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and roofing materials
- Prepare work sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Handle heavy lifting of roofing materials such as shingles, metal panels, and insulation to support efficient workflow
- Support skilled tradespeople with tasks like cutting, fitting, and fabricating roofing components using carpentry, masonry, or fabrication techniques
- Follow schematics and technical drawings to ensure precise placement of roofing elements
- Operate power tools safely and effectively to cut, shape, or install roofing materials
- Collaborate with team members on site to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high safety standards Skills
- Knowledge of schematics and technical drawings for roofing projects
- Experience with welding, fabrication, or carpentry is a plus for custom installations
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Construction experience that includes heavy lifting and working at heights
- Understanding of roofing techniques including waterproofing and insulation installation
- Basic plumbing or masonry skills beneficial for specialized roofing applications
