Job Purpose
To oversee the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring staff, stock and resources are managed efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service, health and safety, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise, motivate and manage warehouse staff to achieve operational targets and KPIs. Plan workloads, schedules and staffing levels to meet customer requirements. Manage stock control, inventory, ordering and stores operations. Monitor performance, costs and operational efficiency, identifying areas for improvement. Maintain accurate records, job sheets, attendance reports and administrative systems. Liaise with customers, planners and other departments to coordinate daily activities. Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, company procedures and ISO quality and environmental standards. Support staff recruitment, training, performance reviews and disciplinary matters. Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment, ensuring company equipment is properly maintained. Skills, Knowledge & Experience Category C1 driving licence. PAT testing certification. Practical handyman experience. Good IT and administration skills. Previous experience managing or supervising a team. Strong communication, organisation and customer service skills. Knowledge of health and safety requirements and basic employment legislation. A proactive, flexible approach with the ability to lead a team and improve operational performance. General Requirements The successful candidate will lead by example, promote teamwork and professionalism, and undertake additional duties as required to support the overall business objectives.
