Night Shift Operator - Anaerobic Digestion PlantAt ENGIE, we're committed to accelerating the transition towards a carbon-neutral world. Join us in this exciting role where you'll play a crucial part in operating our innovative Anaerobic Digestion plant based at Rainbarrow Farm, near Dorchester. You will contribute directly to sustainable energy production and environmental protection.What you will doOperate and monitor the AD plant independently during night shiftsConduct regular physical checks and monitor plant performanceCommunicate promptly with on-call Plant Operators and Regional Plant Manager to resolve issuesCoordinate with the maintenance team for timely repairsPerform minor mechanical maintenance tasksOperate the weighbridge and maintain accurate recordsPrepare routine performance reportsDemonstrate flexibility in covering annual leave and absences of colleaguesWhat you will bring to the roleExperienced in operational site work or broad maintenanceFamiliar with computer-based monitoring systemsComfortable with lone working and night shiftsKnowledgeable about environmental and commercial issues impacting plant operationsHolder of a full UK driving licenseSkilled in operating telehandlers, tractors, or forklifts (training provided)Proficient in IT with strong numerical, analytical, and diagnostic skillsWell-versed in health and safety regulations and complianceQuick problem-solver with excellent decision-making abilitiesPositive, proactive, and reliable team player with strong communication skillsResilient and able to work under own initiativeJob Based InRainbarrow Farm, Poundbury near Dorchester. This is an on-site role involving lone working during night shifts.This is a night based role working 48 hours per week working a shift pattern as agreed with the Regional Plant Manager (6pm to 6am) including weekends. There is also the requirement to provide holiday cover for your team when required.
