At KBR, We Deliver.We are looking for a highly motivated, self-starting and ambitious Senior/Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join our Civil and Structural Engineering Department, based in Leatherhead.RequirementsTechnical experience - to include the following:Compiling specification related to geotechnical aspects of offshore substructures associated with fixed and/or floating oil & gas platforms Designing temporary & permanent foundations of substructures for fixed and/or floating oil & gas platforms including generating soil springsFeasibility studies, including geological, geotechnical, seismic and other geohazard assessmentsDesigning, contracting and supervising ground investigationsInterpreting ground investigation resultsDesign of earthworks and earth structures, including groundwater control measuresDesign of ground improvement measuresDesign of earth retaining structuresSelection and design of foundationsSite engineering support to construction worksASCII database and geotechnical software design packagesPreparation of ground works material and cost estimatesSupervisory experience - able to work alone or as a member of a project team, taking the lead for geotechnical input and supervising engineers and designers on larger projects. Experience of working on multiple projects simultaneously and with multiple design offices would be an advantage. The work will involve liaising with other disciplines, clients and coordinating/working with project team members across global offices to deliver the tasks within allotted timelines and budgets.Industry sector - experience of oil and gas, power generation, other heavy industry or civil infrastructure projects for the UK and/or global projectsQualificationsMSc in Geotechnical Engineering or related subject.
