Job summaryWe are seeking a proactive full time Procurement Assistant to join our fast-paced Outpatient Pharmacy team. The position requires a strong sense of attention to detail and ability to concentrate on tasks for extended periods. The role is focused on procurement tasks that contribute towards delivery of our hospital outpatient pharmacy service. Main duties of the jobExciting opportunity for procurement assistant to join a fast paced and dynamic team at the Outpatient Pharmacy, Warwick Hospital. A procurement assistant plays a key role in their ability to be able to source and procure necessary medications to meet patient needs whilst optimising costs and supply chain management. Ensuring efficient and high-quality customer experience is maintained to strive to deliver a safe, effective and caring service for patients and other service users. The company provides a number of services such as outpatient pharmacy facilities at Warwick, Stratford upon Avon, George Eliot, University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire and St Cross (Rugby) hospitals; estates and facilities management at Warwick, Stratford upon Avon and Ellen Badger hospitals, Acorn House and Lillington Health Hub; private patient service and consultancy services to NHS Trusts. Works alongside procurement lead to chase missing orders, to-follows, owing items and monitor stock shortages. Ensures that paperwork is completed accurately and on time, communicates issues as appropriate, and attends meetings as required Offers suggestions to improve the way we work utilising best practices. Being made accountable for certain aspects of the role at the request of the line Manager. Maintains excellent working relationships and good communications with patients and Trust employees.
