Position TitleSenior Electrical EngineerWorking Schedule Work hours per day: 8-10 hoursWork days per week: 5Work days per month: 22 Work LocationRas Laffan, Qatar (Onshore)Estimated Start DateJanuary 2026Contract Term17 months, with possible extensionJob Purpose Support Project Manager in delivery and governance of project deliverables within quality and timeline requirementsDesign and develop electrical control systems for oil and gas operationsEnsure compliance with industry regulations, codes, and safety standardsMaintain, troubleshoot, and optimise electrical equipment in oil and gas facilitiesConduct risk assessments and hazard analysis, implementing mitigation strategiesPrepare technical reports, procedures, and documentationContribute to development of Performance Standard documents for safety-critical systemsIdentify and verify safety-critical electrical equipment for onshore and offshore assetsDevelop and improve equipment strategies within SAP/MeridiumPrepare and implement Preventive Maintenance Change Requests (PMCR)Collaborate with other Subject Matter Experts to support Barrier Management projects Key Accountabilities Ensure maintainable Safety Critical Elements (SCE) of electrical equipment have effective assurance tasks and frequenciesSupport installation, commissioning, and operational readiness of electrical systemsMaintain alignment with project requirements and long-term equipment strategiesProvide technical guidance and support to project and operations teamsTrack, report, and recommend improvements to electrical engineering processes Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related disciplineMinimum 8 years of experience in the oil and gas industryHands-on experience with SAP and Meridium for asset management and maintenance strategiesExperience overseeing installation and commissioning of electrical equipmentExcellent technical knowledge in electrical engineering and control systemsAbility to work in high-pressure environments and manage multiple prioritiesStrong collaboration, relationship-building, and communication skillsCompetence in writing, presentation, and documentation in EnglishUnderstanding of cross-functional business processes
