Title:Generator Mechanic The Role We are currently seeking a dedicated Generator Mechanic to join our team at the Equipment Support Facility. Reporting to the Spares and Repair Manager, you will play a pivotal role in inspecting equipment returning from loan and ensuring Portable Electrical Generation equipment meets safety standards for field reuse. Your responsibilities will include producing survey reports, conducting maintenance and servicing, providing technical support to other trades, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Complete Generator Maintenance and Servicing within contracted timeframesProvide technical advice and support to other trades regarding fault investigation and generator-related mattersConduct training and mentoring of apprenticesDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiencyAdhere to Health and Safety regulations, COSHH, Engineering Hygiene, Risk Assessments, and safe working practices in a hazardous environmentUndertake any other reasonable tasks aligned with your knowledge, experience, and position What We Need Recognised and accredited trade qualifications of City & Guilds standards or aboveProficient in fault finding and diagnostic abilities on both mechanical and electrical componentsUnderstanding of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), service targets, objectives, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and safe working practicesExcellent communication skillsCompetent computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, MS Teams), and the ability to learn new software systemsProactive approach to tasks and responsibilitiesCapable of completing essential paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.The role is based full time on site at out Equipment Support Facility in Swindon, Wiltshire.We Deliver - Together.
