The main purpose of this position is to carry out planned and reactive maintenance in support of a continuous brewing production plant including cover for all utilities areas If required. The role is vital for the efficiency, quality and cost of the plant. An Electrical Technician will look to improve the reliability, safety of the plant and production processes.This job description and the job title Electrical Technician is not necessarily descriptive of all duties and does not restrict flexibility. You may be required, from time to time, to carry out tasks in addition to or instead of your normal duties, either for the brewery or for AB InBev, provided that they are reasonable and within your capabilities.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Working for the Brewing department, you will work in a team consisting of multi skilled Technicians. You be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance support across utilities equipment such as raw material processing which will involve ATEX area and EX areas, Fluid transfer via pump and conveyor, tightly controlled closed loop systems including level, pressure and flow.Accountabilities:Duties include:Electrical maintenance, includingCarry out planned preventative maintenance as laid out in schedulePLC controlled systems - Allen Bradley PLC .Fault finding, single and three phase suppliesMachinery fault diagnosis and repairsInstrument calibration and functionality checksIn Depth knowledge of Loop control and instrumentation devices17th edition qualificationUse of Plant Optimisation tools to ensure sustainability of high departmental standards, Hygiene and PDCAUndertake, drive and support maintenance and improvement activitiesShare best practice across shifts with respect to maintenance and CILReview and develop safety and maintenance procedures (SWI)Record all maintenance activities within maintenance management system (SAP)Liaise with suppliers of OEM's for the provision of spares/servicesMaintenance prioritisation and planningSupport the development and maintenance of a high performance, flexible and "can do" cultureAnalyse machines to improve performanceIdentify critical spares for designated machinesRefurbish spares as requiredComplete some work at heights, confined space & as a lone workerProject workCarry out quality inspections on jobsLiaise with & assist client departments and customersControl maintenance tools, stores and equipmentMonitor and control maintenance costs as part of the maintenance teamWrite, review & update maintenance SOP's, OPL's & job tasks.Work in a safe manner following all company policies and proceduresEnsure all safety systems are in working orderKey skills, knowledge and Competencies Proactive & self-managed engineer who is professional and has a can-do attitudeGood communication skills and above all take pride in the work they are completingOn occasions you will be expected to work with external contractorsUnderstanding Continuous Improvements, HACCP and Food Safety protocols.Undertake activities to support VPO compliance and sustainabilityComply with health, safety and hygiene policies and practices at all times and ensure standards are maintainedCommitted to a high performance and CI environmentSupport a "Learning Organisation" environmentAnalysis of numerical information and good IT literacyAbility to make decisions and challengeHigh levels of team workingHygiene will be of the utmost importance and a good understanding of Quality testing and microbiology would be useful.Ability to work under own initiative and prioritise workload effectivelyAbility to work as part of a team, interacting effectively with a variety of departments and individualsStrong organisation skills with a structured and systematic approach, adhering to deadlines, able to work on own initiative and prioritise workload effectively.
